Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope

Engitrack offers two paid products:

  • Certificate purchases — one-time payment for a verified digital certificate + Letter of Recommendation issued through the internship platform. Covered in section 2.
  • Agency Services — professional engagements for web development, social media management, and digital marketing. Covered in section 3, in addition to the terms of your signed Proposal or Statement of Work.

Applications, task submissions, and any other free part of the platform are not paid — there is nothing to refund.

2. Certificate purchases

2.1 When refunds are available

You may request a full refund within 24 hours of payment if and only if your certificate PDF has not yet been generated. In practice, certificate generation happens within seconds of a successful payment, so this window applies only in the rare case where generation has been delayed or has failed.

2.2 When refunds are not available

  • After your certificate PDF has been generated (regardless of whether you have downloaded it).
  • If the certificate is later revoked due to plagiarism, fraud, or breach of our Terms of Service.
  • If you change your mind after the service has been delivered.

3. Agency Services

Each agency engagement is governed by a separately signed Proposal or Statement of Work, which prevails for that engagement. The defaults below apply unless your Proposal says otherwise.

3.1 One-off projects (50% advance / 50% on delivery)

  • Before work begins (advance received, work not yet started): full refund of the advance within 3 working days of cancellation request.
  • Client cancels mid-project: the advance is non-refundable. The client receives whatever work has been completed up to the cancellation date.
  • Engitrack cancels mid-project: the client receives a prorated refund of the advance, calculated as advance amount × (1 - work-delivered %), plus all completed deliverables.
  • On delivery: the balance 50% becomes due. No refund on the balance after delivery has been accepted.

3.2 Ongoing retainers (monthly billing)

  • Either party may end the retainer with 30 days' written notice.
  • The notice-period month's retainer is non-refundable; service continues through the notice period.
  • For partial months at the start of a retainer, billing is prorated to the day; refunds for partial months follow the same proration.
  • Third-party ad spend (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.) is non-refundable from Engitrack — it is paid directly to the ad platform. Any unused balance held by the platform must be reclaimed by the client from that platform.

3.3 When agency refunds are not available

  • For deliverables already accepted by the client.
  • If the engagement is terminated due to the client's breach of these Terms or the Proposal.
  • For third-party costs (ad spend, domain registration, hosting fees, SaaS subscriptions, paid templates) already paid by Engitrack on the client's behalf, except to the extent recoverable from the third party.
  • For dissatisfaction with subjective creative direction once the brief, mood-boards, or scope have been signed off.

4. How to request a refund

Email support@engitrack.in from the email address on your account or Proposal, within the applicable window, and include:

  • For certificate refunds: your Razorpay payment ID and the reason.
  • For agency-service refunds: a reference to the Proposal, the relevant invoice or payment ID, and the reason.

We respond within 2 working days. If approved, refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–7 working days for Razorpay payments, or per the bank's standard timelines for direct transfers.

5. Failed payments

If your bank statement shows a deduction but you did not see an order confirmation, receive a certificate, or get a paid invoice from us, the transaction has likely failed at Razorpay's end. Razorpay automatically reverses such payments to the original payment method within 5–7 working days. You do not need to take any action. If the reversal has not appeared after 7 working days, email support@engitrack.in with your payment reference.

6. Disputes

If a refund request is declined and you believe the decision is incorrect, you may escalate the matter to our grievance officer at grievance@engitrack.in. Unresolved disputes are subject to the jurisdiction clause in our Terms of Service (courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka).
